Beast Under the Skin by WolfBloodStudios Beast Under the Skin by WolfBloodStudios
design for a wolf tattoo i made, this time i didnt look at any pics online for reference or to try to copy. i remembered the styling of the dragon tattoo i copied and how they used to negative space and everything and remembering that, i made something of my own...my favorite animal,..the Wolf :D this tattoo in my sketchbook is very tiny...so i may make it into a full body of a wolf or a werewolf...idk yet i hope you like it :D

oh well lol..i hear that tattoo artists like when people bring in somethin original...cuz apparently most people choose generic ones that are displayed on their walls and stuff. and i heard thats the main reason that alot of people who get the chinese letters on their bodies...usally mean different than what they're told...cuz they're tired of giving the same tats out all the time

thank you :D i did another dragon today. in class this time...and it looks a lottt like the dragon you would see on the ends of Viking ships..which is interesting cuz i didnnt mean for it to look that way..i just did it like this wolf...and did it how i felt like...and the even more interesting/eerie thing...is im mostly Swedish..so Vikings and Scandinavian culture is in my DNA so its as iff im carrying on after my ancestors...i hope that doesnt sound tooo freaky for you
lol

No, I'm not freaked out by a person's heritage.lol The truth is I often find that heritage and culture play an important part of what inspires people on a subconscious level. And my art can take on a life of it's own as well they tend to evolve into what ever they want. :iconfernplz:

oh ok kool :D yea..ive never realized it before....it just shocked me that when i did a dragon without reference..its as if my viking ancestors channeled through me.
my art sometimes has a mind of its own too lol

Very Gabgrelesque. If you do decide to continue with the body that would be interesting.

There's no shame in using reference images. Artists use models all the time to help hone their skills.
